The Paso del Norte Complete Count Committee invites creatives and storytellers to an afternoon create-a-thon to collaboratively generate digital media and compelling messages that spread awareness about the 2020 Census and communicate the importance of a complete and accurate count for the El Paso community.
The count of the United States population sets our country's trajectory for the next decade, determining the number of seats each state gets in the House of Representatives, redistricting, and determining how more than $700 billion dollars in federal funding are distributed and allocated annually to cities across the nation.
People of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, people experiencing homelessness, rural communities, people with low incomes, renters, single-parent households, people with limited English proficiency, and young children are all at risk of being undercounted in the decennial census. But you can help change that!
